Study of the Effects of Aqua - acupuncture with Ginseng Radix , Cervi Cornu and Saussureae Radix Extract Solution on the Weight Increase and Secretion of Gastric Hermone in Mice

Abstract

|
In order to study the effects of Aqua-acupuncture with Ginseng Radix, Cervi Cornu and Saussureae Radix extract solution on the weight increase and secretion of gastric hormone, in mice.
Experimental group were devided into 5 groups. Control group, Aqua-acupuncture with Ginseng Radix (Aa-G), Aqua-acupuncture with Cervi Cornu (Aa-C), Aqua-acupuncture with Saussureae Radix (Aa-S), Aqua-acupuncture with Normal Saline (Aa-N). Jung Wan (CV_(12)) was taken for this experiment.
The result were as follows:
1. The body weight was increased with the statistical significance in Aa-G group on the 3rd and 7th day, in Aa-C group on the 3rd, 5th and 7th day and in Aa-S group on the 7th day as compared with the control group. However Aa-N group did not show significant increase.
2. The level of serum gastrin was increased with the statistical significance in Aa-G group on the 5th and 7th day, in Aa-C group on the 1st, 3rd, 5th and 7th day and in Aa-S group on the lst and 7th day as compared with the control group. However Aa-N group did not show significant increase.
3. The level of serum secretin was increased with the statistical significance in Aa-G group on the 4th and 7th day, in Aa-C group on the 3rd, 5th and 7th day and Aa-S group on the 5th and 7th day as compared with the control group. However Aa-N group did not show significant increase.
4. The level of serum glucagon was decreased with the statistical significance in Aa-G group on 3rd and 7th day, in Aa-C group on 3rd and 5th day and in Aa-S group in 3rd and 5th day as compared with the control group, However Aa-N group did not show significant decrease.
According to the above results, it is concluded that the Aqua-acupancture with Ginseng Radix, Cervi Cornu and Saussureae Radix extract solution at the locus of Jung Wan showed the effect of increase of body weight and secretion of gastrin, secretin and glucagon.
